In 2009, Brantley Harrison and family rescued injured squirrel babies after an owl attack.
The Harrison family raised and nurtured four baby squirrels with love and care and named them Larry, Curly, Moe, and Bella.
When Harrison decided to release them, the squirrels looked excited and rushed up and down the trees exploring their new surroundings. After a week of exploring, the four squirrels are finally back into the wild.
However, the squirrels never stray too far from the family as they keep on coming back for treats. After a time, they stopped coming by, but not Bella, the adorable squirrel pictured below.
In an interview with The Dodo, Brantley said, “Bella sits right at the front door waiting for someone to notice she has come by for a visit. She has even resorted to jumping over to the dining room windows to peer in for someone to see her.”
But do you know what’s most amazing part of their friendship? Bella found her way back home to them with an injured foot and a belly full of babies. Brantley said that she was amazed to watch the baby she raised raise her own babies. It’s been 8 years since Bella and the Harrisons first met and their bond is still going strong.
