This Restaurant Has To Close – But The Reason Would Make You Want To Eat There!

A restaurant in Bakersfield, California was recently closed for two weeks. This is rather an unusual phenomenon- unless the establishment has gone bankrupt.

Recently, a photo circulated online that was uploaded by a Reddit user. It’s Chef’s Choice Noodle Bar with a hand-typed note of the management’s reason why they were closed for two straight weeks. The note was taped to the restaurant door:

Upon reading the note, the online community thinks the restaurant’s decision to temporarily close is a rather brilliant career move, especially considering the reason behind it.

“Our head chef is from Thailand and every year, we send him back to visit his family. Prior to coming to work at Chef’s Choice Noodle Bar, he had not seen his family for 15 years, but when he joined The Noodle Bar Family, we wanted him to have the opportunity to see his family on a more regular basis – so, we close the restaurant for two weeks every fall, in order for him to visit his family and recharge himself. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to having you visit us when he is back and refreshed on October 4th!

Sincerely,

The Management”

For netizens, the very thought itself is heartwarming. Some even commented that they wanted to dine in the restaurant just because they know that the company cares for their employee’s welfare.
