Mobile Video Gamer Reportedly Paralyzed After Looking Down at His Phone for Two Consecutive Days

Recently playing mobile video games have been causing several serious health problems in China.

In a previous month, there was an unidentified gamer who was rushed to the hospital after spending two consecutive days playing this latest gaming marathon.

On the third day of playing, the 29-year-old gamer from Guangzhou, China has suddenly felt stiffness in his neck and in a few moments his four limbs started to get numb which found himself paralyzed. After doing some tests, the orthopedic specialist Shen Huiyong diagnosed him with cervical spondylosis hematoma. A blood clot between his cervical spinal tube and spinal cord which caused him to paralyze.

Apparently, the gamers condition have been started since then, it just happened on the two consecutive days where it was elevated its condition. To regain his limbs and his motor skills and ability to walk, the gamer must undergo a delicate surgery to remove the blood clots and a little help with a physiotherapist to become fully recovered.

Dr. Huiyong warns the patient that if he is still going to strain his neck, there is a possibility that his condition will come back.

The doctor said in an interview, that long-term use of mobile phones can lead to a permanent bowing position which causes pain in the neck and numbness and sometimes can lead to more severe complication such as limb paralysis.
