A Heart-Warming Bronze Living Statue Performance Of Jaspe, A Brazilian Little Dog
One common occurrence to international tourists while walking in the crowded streets in huge cities around the globe, that snatches attention, is an iced human being that actually is a man dressed very creatively like a bronze and acts like as if he’s a statue.
The challenge of the bronze living statue performance is you need to freeze a moment of your act, to be like a still iced statue, wearing a thick coat painted with bronze, of which your face and hands that are visible are painted with bronze body paint as well.
This is a form of living for most street performer that you can see on the busy streets where they just stand around for hours but needless to say a lot of quality time put in the preparation of the outfit and the makeup until they stand on their home made bronze stage. This is an European street tradition that was started back during the medieval period.
This is a story of a young Venezuelan street performer artist by the name of Yorge Luís Ruiz and his bronze star co-partner little dog named Jaspe. Yorge has been perfecting this art for around four years since he moved to Fortaleza, Brazil.
This bronze artist tandem that gained worldwide recognition stands out among the many bronze living statue street performers that are as good as they are because it was spear-headed by Jaspe, the little lovable dog business partner that gave life to the performance.
The little dog’s performance will all trigger with a kiss on the neck by his master. The little dog performer not only truly a man’s best friend and a natural-born hero since she’s helping out her master earn a living but also daily accompanying and assisting for hours his master do a superb bronze statue act. Yorge admits that his little dog, Jaspe, never received special training from him, as Jaspe is a natural talent not to mention her fur matches the color of her master’s bronze coat and the natural frozen bronze acting starts when Yorge kisses Jaspe’s neck.
Jaspe’s Oscar-deserving street performance was caught on a video and uploaded to Twitter that garnered 2.84 million views and has gained 88,000 followers in Instagram. Yorge sends his appreciation and gratitude of thanks in a recent Instagram posts stating, “We thank you very much, we thank the Brazilian people every day for enjoying our work. We’re overwhelmed by all the positive comments we are getting right now.”
