Brave Nanny Risks Her Life By Saving 2-Year Old From Getting Hit By A Car

Caroline Maurer was taking 2-year-old Fox for a walk around a block from his home. She was babysitting him that day and when they were crossing an empty intersection, a car sped through headed straight for the toddler.

Caroline did the unthinkable by doing a selfless act. She sacrificed herself by jumping in the way.

Maurer was soon brought to the hospital and she suffered several fractured bones in her arms, hands, and wrists. Fox was luckily not hit by the car and suffered only minor bruises.

Because of the incident, Caroline has undergone a total of three surgeries and will start Physical therapy thereafter. Hospitalized for more than 2 weeks, she was unable to go to work or attend her classes at school.

Fox’s parents, Courtney Davis and Bill Wolkoff, started a YouCaring page to raise funds for the brave woman. They said that she may not fully regain the strength of her hands after the accident and wanted to help her in ways they can.

“Caroline is a true hero, and we are forever grateful to her for saving our son’s life,” the couple wrote.

As of this moment, the Wolkoff family were now able to raise a total of $23,462.
