Injured Stray Dog Saved By A Biker And Landed In A New Home

Injured Stray Dog Never Expected To Be Helped But He Also Found A New Home

Jarrett Little saved an injured stray dog by putting her on his back, mounted on his bike, while he was with a group of cyclists.

“We stopped to regroup and he came out of the woods to greet us. He was really thin, ribs showing and had a lot of road rash and a broken leg,” Jarrett said.

Though pressed for time, and he had only a bike as means of transportation, Jarrett never hesitated to help the injured stray dog by bringing the dog to a veterinarian, where they were met by Andrea Shaw, an animal lover from Maine, who was in the area for a business trip and she showed interest to help out the injured dog.

Andrea then took over from there, bringing the injured dog with her, giving her the name Columbo, a homage to the town where they met, the dog’s legs were fixed and other wounds attended to. Not only that, Andrea, also called in Canine Freedom Transportation, an organization that transports dogs.

Now, Columbo has a new home in Maine, enjoying Andrea’s horse farm.
