Kaylene Bowen-Wright, the mother of an 8-year old boy named Christopher from Dallas, Texas, made 323 hospital visits and 13 major operations after convincing doctors that her son is terminally ill.
It all started right after Christopher was prematurely born and Bowen came up with an imaginary milk allergy and began seeking medical treatments for 8 years.
By providing fake information, the little boy faced different procedures, tests, surgeries, and even tested feeding tubes. According to his father Ryan Crawford, he said, “She started explaining to the judge that the doctors stated my son would never walk, and then she stated that he had problems continuing to eat and that he’s going to need a feeding tube.”
Because of Bowen’s eagerness for medical treatment for her son, she even started to launch a crowdfunding campaign to support her son’s medical treatment. However, by the year 2015, physicians became suspicious when they noticed that Bowen’s accounts did not match the test results of the young Christopher.
They immediately called Child Protective Services (CPS) and they found the boy with an IV and oxygen mask.
Christopher was taken to the hospital to make some test and it appears that he is perfectly fine and he doesn’t show any signs of seizures, fatigue or any illness that his mother keeps on claiming.
Moreover, there are claims that Bowen is suffering from a condition called ‘Munchausen Syndrome’ a mental health problem which is associated with severe emotional difficulties.
