“Be happy and live life to the fullest. I will still be with you through every milestone, just look around and there I will be.”
These were the words of Michael William Sellers to his youngest daughter on her 21st birthday. The dad of four, unfortunately, passed away back in 2013 because of pancreatic cancer.
But Michael did the sweetest thing a dad will ever for her daughter…
Every year, for the last four years, he had ordered pre-paid flowers for her up until her 21st birthday.
Now, Bailey, a student from Knoxville, Tennessee turned 21. And it was the last set of flowers she’s going to receive from her dad.
“Ever since my dad passed away I’ve hated my birthday and I dread it every year because he always made it so special,” she recently told the New York Post. “I was especially dreading my 21st because I knew it would be the last year.”
Now the flowers had arrived together with a sweet handwritten letter from her dad.
“I broke down. That letter was very very awesome and sad all at the same time.”
Bailey chose to honor her dad’s last gift by uploading it on social media and now has been liked by 1.5 million people.
