New Zealand based artist Hazel Zakariya is taking smoothies to another level – in fact, she has created some of the most breathtaking edible art the internet has ever seen.
One simply could not simply help but laud her efforts especially when she did it in the most unexpected canvass – a smoothie bowl.
So far, she has mastered the craft of creating safari animals, unicorns, and even Wonderwoman…all from natural ingredients.
The most amazing of all is that she has little formal schooling when it comes to creating these masterpieces since she works as a market-analyst during the day. Zakariya considers her art as a passion project- as an avenue for her to express herself at different levels and to challenge her skills as a self-taught artist.

She also uses a variety of organic ingredients such as blue matcha, butterfly pea powder, and turmeric.
“One of my favorites is spirulina; it adds a beautiful shade of green to the concoction. I also use pink pitaya powder for its lush magenta hues.” she recently told Vogue in an interview.
