Chinese Women Who Had Cosmetic Surgery Were Detained At Airport Due To Unrecognizable Faces

Apparently, photos of three Chinese women have been recently making the rounds online. They were stuck in a South Korean airport because airport officials can no longer match their recent faces to their respective passports following a recent plastic surgery.

South Korea plastic surgery clinics have gained a worldwide reputation for being one of the best and people from neighboring countries like China and Japan go here just so they can have their features enhanced.

The problem is, when these people go back to the airport, they are almost unrecognizable. Some even went as far as remodeling their entire face.

When posed with this inevitable problem, North Korean surgery clinics issued ‘plastic surgery certificates’ to serve as proof that they are the same person, so that the immigration will let them pass through. This includes the hospital location, the duration of the patient’s stay, and their passport number. These people are usually identified with their facial features that they left unchanged, and although the process may take longer- they are allowed to pass through.

However, this does not apply to these three Chinese women. Apparently, they’ve turned up in the airport still fresh from their respective surgeries, and their faces were so swollen that the immigration officials simply did not allow them to pass through.

The problem is that the body needs time to heal from the procedure and usually, patients have to wait for a couple of days or even weeks for the swelling to stop.
