Bride Planned The Biggest Surprise For Her Grandma By Wearing Her 1960’s Wedding Dress

‘Something Olde, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe.’

And so, the popular rhyme goes.

Today, some modern brides still follow the tradition to have at least one of each of these little ‘somethings’ on their wedding day to bring about good luck in their marriages.

23-year old Jordyn Cleverly was no exception. She decided that her ‘something borrowed’ would be her grandmother’s beautiful wedding dress. It was the dress she wore to her own wedding in 1962, and it still looked divine up to the very last detail.

Her grandma Penny had completely no idea Jordyn would wear her dress up until the wedding rehearsals came.

“It was an absolutely beautiful moment and everyone around was silent. Tears began to stream from everyone’s faces,” Photographer Kortney Peterson recalled as she captured the heartwarming moment.

Supposedly, Jordyn wanted to reveal her surprise to her grandma the day of the wedding, but she decided to do it on the rehearsals instead so they could hold a ‘special look’ photoshoot for it.

“I didn’t want her to see the dress for the first time walking down the aisle and just start sobbing and have all those memories come back to her,”

Indeed, a heartwarming moment!
