The two are about to tie the knot on Friday and you’d think everything will go smoothly as planned…but it’s not! The groom, to everyone’s shock- jumped into a nearby river! And you’d never guess the reason why.

No, he did not have a cold foot and changed his mind of marrying his bride. In fact, he did it to save a drowning child!
As caught by the official wedding photographer Darren Hatt, Cook suddenly noticed a child in the river in apparent distress.

“His face was underwater and he was fighting, like he was really fighting. Without a second thought, the groom was in the water and helping the boy up to safety. “Almost as soon as I realized what was going on, he had already saved the day,” Hatt told CTV.

His bride, Brittany whole-heartedly agrees. “That’s Clay like that’s Clay to me. It’s something he would just instinctively do.”
